And what if we also made predictions with Artificial Intelligence in the field of art? As a tool like a paintbrush or a camera, AI has allowed the creation of artistic projects that are, to say the least, astonishing.

Have you ever wondered what the members of the 27 Club and other deceased celebrities would look like if they were still alive? The photographer and lawyer Alper Yesiltas has attempted to answer this question by using AI technology to create portraits of celebrities. Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Freddie Mercury, Janis Joplin, Tupac, and Heath Ledger, to name a few, got a little old. How did they do it? By means of several softwares including Remini which allows to improve the quality of the photos with the help of technology as well as Lightroom and the VSCO application which are generally intended to rework the images in post-production. And the result is surprising, at first sight realistic, even if we will never have a definitive answer. It is in any case one of the artistic projects that integrates AI or Artificial Intelligence. But it is not the only one.

Seniors and babies thanks to AI

In the same vein, Reddit user Trevor Elliottknown as "Hardhead1110", has come up with a very cute concept. Thanks to Midjourney, an artificial intelligence program that creates images from textual descriptionshe managed to show our favorite characters in a new light. Trevor transformed characters from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars into children, making them cute and vulnerable. Scroll down to see the results!

Artificial Intelligence, a dedicated artist?

August 29, 2022, Jason Allen submitted his work Spatial Opera Theatre to the annual Colorado State Fair Fine Art Competition. His work was an immediate success in the digital art/digital photography category and took first place, winning a blue ribbon and a $300 prize.

However, the significance of this victory is due to the method he used to create this beautiful work. He did not use traditional artistic means such as wire, clay, paint, etc. Instead, he created this piece using MidJourney, again that Artificial Intelligence program that turns lines of text into hyper-realistic graphics.

Will AI kill art?

Like those who consider AI to be a threat to our jobs or our free will, some believe that Artificial Intelligence could slowly kill art. Taking away one of the most effective outlets for human beings. As long as AI remains a tool or an instrument, there will still be artists. And, in fine, art. It will probably be time to reconsider this position when AI will be conscious. In the meantime, art is still a daily part of our lives and this should not be about to change. Art is not dead !
