Societe Generale moves towards an AI and data-driven bank
Société Générale is increasing the number of projects using artificial intelligence.
The banking group said on November 23 that it was working on an additional 170 AI-based use cases in the industrialization phase. As part of its data-driven strategy, Societe Generale also emphasized its efforts in training its employees and developing its hybrid cloud.
On the occasion of the French Tech event, which is currently taking place (from 18 to 26 November 2021), the Société Générale Group took stock of its innovation strategy, which has been slightly accelerated in the context of the health crisis and the digitalisation of practices due to new security measures. A year and a half after the first containment, "62% of our retail customers in Europe and Russia use digital channels to access banking services" at least once a month, justified Frédéric Oudéa, CEO of the banking group, during his speech. At the end of 2019, this rate of online and mobile activity amounted to 57%, according to the integrated report of the banking group. What undoubtedly legitimizes and confirms this conduct of change.
